was someone eating oreo "tookies"? brian took this one w/ the new nikon d80. :) cute estin story - brian puts estin to bed and i put dade down...estin has to say goodbye about 25 times before brian finally closes his door. tonight bri tried to tell him, "ok estin, last goodbye" and estin said, "no, say more bye-byes daddy!"Wednesday, February 21, 2007

this one's for you kari jo! our new tv, we hadn't bought one since we left alaska. we were watching videos on a little portable dvd player but that broke. so we went to costco to return it and came home w/ this monster, LOL. no cable yet, but i'm sure we'll break down soon...02.20.07
a tiny bendie doll for the toy basket at the auctions. these are fun to make but very time-consuming! estin helped me take the picture. :)

estin loved wearing goggles in the pool even though they were too big and filled up w/ water every time he put his head under, LOL!

i asked tara from the joyful garden to make us a couple of her awesome hand-felted wall hangings - this one's for estin's room, we are slowly decorating it in an african theme. :) 02.15.07

another casualty at the teeth of lucy. :( this is monty - dade's pirate doll from my favorite doll makers - where's waldorf. i guess lucy decided his belly might be tasty and gutted him. luckily, i found him before too much damage was done and he can be patched up - he is a pirate after all!02.12.07
we've been having crazy weather lately - 60s one day and then snow the next, it's always changing, i kinda like that. :)

i learned in my gardening class that it's time to start planting wildflowers. apparently, they like to freeze and then thaw again - helps them germinate. estin's ready to help plant, we just need to buy some seeds.02.07.07
pay no attention to my ragamuffins or the mess in the background - i just want to remember this cute routine they've come up with - sitting in front of the fire in the mornings while eating cereal out of baggies (has to be in a bag, not a cup, lol). this room isn't heated so we turn on the fire first thing because it's the playroom/computer room/sewing room - where we spend most of our time.Tuesday, February 6, 2007

i know some places are frr-eezing right now, but it's a beautiful 65 here today and all this week! yay for spring! i start a mile-high gardening class tomorrow, can't wait! these were estin's long shorts last summer but since he's pretty much out of diapers, they are dade's now - pretty cute long capris on him, lol! :)Monday, February 5, 2007
